Ms. Stefania Gochicoa

Beetle Classroom

Ms. Stefanía Gochicoa was born and raised in San Diego, California. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from San Diego State University. Montessori has been a significant part of her life from a young age, as she grew up with a mother who is a Montessori guide.

After becoming a mother, Ms. Stefanía's interest in Montessori deepened as she began applying its principles at home with her son, Leonel. To further her understanding and better support her son's development, she pursued and received her AMI Assistant to Infancy (0–3) Montessori certification. This experience transformed her appreciation for the Montessori philosophy into a passion for working with young children. She especially values the respect Montessori places on each child as an individual and loves witnessing their development of independence, confidence, and unique abilities as they reach their fullest potential.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Stefanía enjoys spending time with her husband and their two-year-old son, Leonel. Together, they love attending SDFC games, watching soccer, visiting the zoo, and trying new restaurants. She is excited to bring her knowledge of child development and her lifelong connection to Montessori into the toddler environment, supporting each child as they grow, explore, and become increasingly independent.
